This course provides a varied experience beginning within a metropolitan setting and eventually ends in Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness, increasing the possibility of privacy. The first half of the course is often occupied, and there's jeep tour visitors nearby. Enter in the signed trailhead that is available only from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.. The path drops to cross a clean then climbs out into the Devils Kitchen sinkhole just off the road to the best in 1/4 miles. The path then goes over flat floor for 1/4 mile into the "Seven Sacred Pools" to the remaining road.

It continues on from the partial shade of Arizona cypress and intersects the conclusion of a jeep road at 1.2 miles. The trail forks in the wilderness area border sign 1/8 mile farther on. The ideal branch leads up quite steeply for 1/4 mile into an arch. Good views. The left branch is the primary trail. This leads from the scrub on a medium level. The majority of the color is dropped, but the perspectives open up. The trail becomes increasingly tight and steep as it climbs into the pass. Nearing 2 kilometers, it amounts out in addition to Brins Mesa, then lasts for a second 1/4 kilometers where it intersects Brins Mesa Trail. Finally, scenic vistas can be appreciated south to Sedona and north to the wilderness as well as the red cliffs of the Mogollon Rim. Return by precisely the exact same route to get a 4.5 mile round trip hike.

The trail quality varies throughout the year, depending on rainfall and other natural elements. Even though it is not a requirement, you may feel more comfortable using a high-clearance automobile, you can take a look at the 4x4 rentals we have available if you're trying to rent a Jeep for your Sedona adventure. And bear in mind that rain or other natural conditions could close the trails. We recommend that you visit www.az511.gov to find out more about road conditions and general info regarding the trail.
